We checked the US and Pakistani rules on this page in September 2026. Rules change, so we confirm them again before we start your work. We are not lawyers or tax advisers. Where a license is needed, we work with licensed partners.

What US buyers look for on your site
A US buyer usually gives a new supplier a few minutes. In that time, they look for the same things:
- Clear photos. A plain background, several angles and close-ups of stitching, finish, logos and labels.
- Exact specs. Sizes, materials, weights and packing, in the units they use.
- Buying terms. Minimum order quantity, lead time, sample policy and the trade terms you offer.
- Proof. Certificates you really hold, such as ISO 13485 for medical instruments, with certificate numbers where possible.
- A real contact. A person, an email address and a phone number they can call during their working day.
Many exporter websites miss two or three of these. Fixing them is often the fastest way to get more replies. Our article on what US buyers look for on your website covers this in more detail.
Trade terms buyers expect
US buyers compare suppliers on the full cost of getting goods to their door. Your site should say which trade terms (Incoterms) you offer. The three most common are:
| Term | What it means | Who pays freight and US duty |
|---|---|---|
| FOB Karachi (Free On Board) | You deliver the goods onto the ship at a Pakistani port. | The buyer pays sea freight, insurance and US duty. |
| CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) | You pay freight and insurance to the US port. | The buyer pays US duty and delivery from the port. |
| DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) | You deliver to the buyer's door with duty paid. | You pay everything, including US duty. You need a US importer, such as your US company. |
Most importers ask for FOB prices first. Offering DDP can win smaller buyers, but only if you price the US duty correctly. US duty rates on Pakistani goods changed several times in 2025 and 2026, so we check the current rate with a licensed customs broker before you publish DDP prices.

US rules for business websites
A website that sells to Americans should follow American rules. We build these in:
| Rule | What it means for you | Who is in charge |
|---|---|---|
| Truthful claims | Every claim on your site must be true and provable. Do not say Made in USA, and only list certificates and tests you really have. | Federal Trade Commission (FTC) |
| Privacy policy | If your site collects names, emails or phone numbers, you need a clear privacy policy. California law requires one for sites that collect personal details from California residents. | FTC and state attorneys general |
| Accessibility | US businesses are often sued over websites that are hard to use for people with disabilities. We build to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. | US courts, under the Americans with Disabilities Act |
| Sales emails | Emails to buyers must use honest subject lines, show a real postal address and let people opt out. Opt-out requests must be honored within 10 business days. | FTC, under the CAN-SPAM Act |
| Health and medical claims | Medical device and food pages must not make claims beyond what the product is cleared or allowed to claim. | FDA and FTC |
| Brands and trademarks | Do not use other companies' brand names or logos, even for products you made for them, without written permission. | US courts, under trademark law |
Getting found on Google
US buyers search for suppliers on Google with phrases like the product name plus manufacturer or wholesale. We build every page so Google can understand it:
- Keyword research on what US buyers actually search for in your product line
- A clear page title, description and heading on every page
- Structured data (schema) so Google knows who you are and what you sell
- Fast loading, compressed images and pages that work on phones
- A sitemap and Google Search Console, so you can see which searches bring buyers
Ranking takes time and depends on your competition. That is why we also offer monthly SEO at $499 a month and Google Ads management at $399 a month plus your ad budget.

Common questions
Do I need a new website if I already have one?
Not always. We review your current website first. If it can be fixed, we fix it. If it would cost more to fix than to rebuild, we tell you.
Can you write the product descriptions?
Yes. We write all text in plain English from the specs you send us.
Will my website show up on Google?
We build every page to be found on Google and set up Google Search Console. Ranking takes time and depends on competition, which is why we also offer monthly SEO and Google Ads.
Should I show prices on my website?
Many exporters show a price range or a from price with the minimum order quantity. It saves time for both sides. Exact prices can go in your quote.
What trade terms should I offer?
Most US importers ask for FOB prices from a Pakistani port. Some smaller buyers prefer DDP, delivered with duty paid, which needs a US importer such as your US company.
Is the website accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes. We build to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard, which also helps your pages load well and rank on Google.
